The Teddy Bear Fair

This year on Monday, 1 May 2017 (Public Holiday), the 22nd  annual Teddy Bear Fair will be hosted by the Cape Bear Community.

Teddy Bear exhibitors, artist, collectors and the general public will get together to enjoy a beautiful day together where there will be hand made teddy bears for sale as well as many other teddy bear related products such as teddy bear making kits and clothes for teddies etc. 

There will also be entertainment for children such as jumping castles and a variety of competitions. 

There will be refreshments for sale.

 

NEW VENUE:
The organisers have secured a new venue for this year’s Teddy Bear Fair.  The new venue will be hosted at:

St. Thomas Anglican Church Hall,

61 Campground Road,

Rondebosch. 

 Directions to St. Thomas Church Hall

From Cape Town

1. Travel on the M3 past the University of Cape Town.

2. Pass Newlands and Shell Service Station (Paradise Motors) on the left.

3. At the next traffic light turn left onto Paradise Road/M33

4. At the roundabout , take the 1st exit onto Protea Road/M33

5. Turn left onto Campground Road /Palmyra Road/M57.   

6. Continue for 1.2km       

7. Make a U- turn and your destination will be on the left

From N1:

1.  Take The M5 exit towards Maitland

2.  Keep right at the fork and merge onto the M5

3.  Take exit 11 for M18/Klipfontein Road towards Mowbray and the Red Cross Hospital

4.  Continue straight onto Milner Road / M28

5.  Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Park Road / M92

6.  Turn left into Campground Road/M57

7.  Your destination will be on the left

From Muizenberg

1. Take the M3 towards Cape Town

2. Pass Bishops Court

3. Turn right into Paradise Road/M33

4. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Protea Road /M33

5. Continue for about 300m

6. Turn left into Campground Road /Palmyra Road/M57

7. Continue about 1.2km

8. Make a U-turn

9. Your destination is on the left

CHARITY AUCTION

In November 2016 the SAINT TRUST  Charity Auction was held in Stellenbosch and a Father Christmas Bear made by HiBearNation Handmade Teddy Bears was auctioned to raise funds for this worthy charity.  We are extremely proud that our bear fetched a whopping R3,000.00, thereby boosting the coffers of the charity supported by this Trust.

 

 

In November 2015 at a charity auction three of our bears were auctioned to raise funds for a worthy charity.  We are extremely proud that our bears fetched such a good price, thereby boosting the coffers of the charity supported by this Trust.
